Welcome to Congregation Beth El’s website. We are so glad you stopped by to visit us. We are a small Reform Jewish congregation with a big heart located in Tyler Texas. Tyler is in the middle of East Texas, about half-way between Dallas and Shreveport. We have been an active part of the religious landscape of Tyler since our congregational charter in 1887. Over the years, we have seen Tyler grow with the development of the oil boom in the 1930's and the subsequent Rose industry. More recently, Tyler has become the medical heart of East Texas. And through it all, the Jewish community has been vibrant and involved.
